Form E & Divorce Financial Disclosure Analysis
Divorce finances can be complicated, particularly when you're faced with lengthy bank statements, financial disclosures, business accounts or a Form E that doesn't quite add up.
As a Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) with over 20 years' accountancy experience and seven years specialising in forensic divorce accounting, I provide independent, detailed financial analysis to help you understand the figures, identify potential discrepancies and ask the right questions.
Whether you're preparing your own financial disclosure, reviewing your former partner's documents or working alongside a family law solicitor, I can help bring clarity to complex financial information so you can approach the next stage with greater confidence.
How I Can Help With Your Financial Disclosure
Form E Preparation & Review
Form E is one of the most important documents in divorce financial proceedings, but completing it or reviewing your former partner's disclosure can feel overwhelming.
I can help you organise and understand the financial information required, review completed Forms E and supporting documents, identify missing information or inconsistencies, and highlight questions that may need further investigation.
My role is to provide detailed financial support and analysis, helping you and your solicitor make sense of the figures and approach financial discussions with greater confidence.
Bank Statement & Transaction Analysis
Bank statements can reveal important details about someone's financial circumstances, but reviewing months or years of transactions can be time-consuming and difficult without specialist experience.
I undertake detailed analysis of bank statements and financial transactions, looking for unusual transfers, unexplained payments, patterns of spending, movements between accounts and potential inconsistencies with the financial information disclosed.
Where appropriate, I can prepare clear schedules and summaries of my findings, highlighting areas that may warrant further questions or investigation by you and your solicitor.
The aim is to help you understand what the financial records show, what may be missing and where further clarification could be needed.
Business Accounts & Financial Interests
When a divorce involves a business, understanding the financial position can be particularly challenging. Company accounts, director's loans, dividends, retained profits and business-related transactions can all affect the overall financial picture.
I can review business accounts and supporting financial information to help explain what the figures mean, identify areas requiring clarification and highlight potential inconsistencies between business records and personal financial disclosure.
My analysis can help you and your solicitor understand the financial information available and determine whether further specialist investigation or a formal business valuation may be appropriate.
Specialist Financial Analysis — Fees & How It Works
My specialist financial analysis service is charged at £150.00 per hour.
Every divorce is different, so before any work begins, we'll discuss your circumstances, the documents you need help with and what you'd like to achieve. I'll then agree the scope of work with you and provide an estimate of the time and fees involved.
For larger or more complex cases, a fixed project fee may be available once I've assessed the work required.
Depending on your circumstances, I can provide a detailed review of financial disclosure, analysis of bank statements and transactions, or a written summary of findings and areas requiring further clarification.
You can instruct me directly or alongside your family law solicitor. My work provides financial analysis and support, rather than legal advice or a formal expert-witness report.
The first step is simply a confidential conversation about what you need.
